Red Bull Racing had been dominating the pit stops in the 2024 season, but at the Formula 1 Miami GP, Ferrari showed that it can fight for the lead in this dispute. Max Verstappen won the Sprint race, but in Sunday’s GP the Austrian team not only lost to Lando Norris on the track but was also overtaken by Ferrari in the pit stops.

Sergio Perez’s pit stop wasn’t bad. It took just 1.95 seconds for the Mexican to change tires, a time close to Red Bull’s own record in Shanghai (1.90 seconds).

However, the Ferrari mechanics were even faster in Miami. Charles Leclerc completed his pit stop in 1.94 seconds, placing the Italian team in second place in the ranking of the ten fastest pit stops of the season. Red Bull still tops the list.

Despite the setback in Miami, Red Bull remains at the top of the pit stop rankings. The team has 208 points in six races, against 111 for Ferrari in second place. McLaren and Mercedes appear next, with 79 and 65 points, respectively.
