Games Drops has received official information. EA SPORTS UFC 5 adds 9 new fighters to the game, UFC 301 Fight Week Challenges, New Alter Egos and gameplay updates.

As part of the biggest roster update in the history of the UFC 5 franchise, we are pleased to announce the following 9 new fighters that will be playable in the game starting today.

  • Michael “Venom” Page (#13 Welterweight)

  • Stephen Erceg (#10 Flyweight) – Main event; title fight next weekend at UFC 301

  • Natalia Christina da Silva (#8 Women’s flyweight)

  • Matheus Nicolau (#5 Flyweight)

  • Virna Jandiroba (#5 WSW)

  • Manel Kape (#6 Flyweight)

  • Nassourdine Imavov (#8 Middleweight)

  • Marcin Tybura (#8 Heavyweight)

  • Drew Dober (#15 Light Heavyweight)

The UFC 301 Fight Week Challenges and New Alter Egos will also be added to the game next week on Tuesday, April 30th at 2pm ET.

Gameplay adjustments have also been made in this update. In particular, the recovery speed of short-term resistance was slowed and the recovery of the short-term block meter was accelerated. The execution of several strikes in the heavier weight classes also gained speed, reducing the difference in speed between the heaviest and lightest divisions. In fighting situations, part of the stamina cost during ground play has been changed from short-term to long-term. The full list of patch 1.08 notes can be found here and below.
