One of the City Group’s objectives is to build a new CT with large dimensions and world standards for Bahia.
Since 2023, the Bahia SAF board has been carrying out studies and working to find land for the construction of new training equipment that will be the headquarters of the tricolor administration in the long term.
After controversy and protests, SAF tricolor preferred to give up the land it had initially allocated on Via Metropolitana, in the Quingoma region.
In February this year, the Public Defender’s Office of Bahia (DPE/BA), the Federal Defender’s Office (DPU) and the Federal Public Ministry (MPF) recommended protecting the rights of the quilombola community and avoiding the construction of a CT on the site.
New CT in Bahia has land in progress, says radio host
According to Márcio Martins, broadcaster and industry expert, Bahia SAF made an agreement for land in Simões Filho region.
“It didn’t work in Lauro de Freitas, on Via Metropolitana, because of the quilombola issue. There is also on 29 de Março (avenue), a piece of land that Bahia looked at and it hasn’t worked out yet, but I don’t know if they will go back there. And now they are practically agreeing for Bahia’s CT to be in Simões Filho”, said Márcio Martins, on his YouTube channel.
Grupo City is looking for land closer to the airport and to the housing of players and employees in Salvador for the construction of a new CT, considering the logistics considered to be poor at CT Evaristo de Macedo, on the border between Camaçari and Dias d’Ávila .
