State and municipalities in Bahia report investments of more than R$140 million to the panel “Transparency of June Festivities” – Acorda Cidade

The State of Bahia and several municipalities in Bahia have already informed the Panel ‘Transparency of June Festivities’, developed by the state Public Ministry, of investments of more than R$ 140 million in this year’s festivities. The information was sent approximately one month before the public presentation ceremony of the 2024 version of the Junino Panel, which will take place on June 13th. At the event, transparency seals will also be handed out to public entities collaborating with the project.

By early Tuesday afternoon (7), 69 municipalities sought assistance from the Operational Support Center for Public Prosecutors for the Protection of Administrative Morality (Caopam) to access the computerized data collection system developed by the MP. Of this total, 26 have already started sending the requested information, guaranteeing their presence at the public ceremony. The data reported so far totals investments in excess of R$15 million relating to 131 artistic contracts. The Government of the State of Bahia informed that it will invest around R$ 132 million in the June festivities through the transfer of resources to the municipalities of Bahia.

A tool to encourage public transparency, the exercise of citizenship and support the efficient management of public resources in promoting culture and tourism in Bahia, the ‘June Festivities Transparency Panel in the Municipalities of the State of Bahia’ was designed and developed by the Ministry State public in partnership with the Public Accounting Ministries with the State Audit Courts (MPC/TCE) and Municipal Audit Courts (MPC/TCM), State Audit Courts (TCE) and Municipal Audit Courts (TCM), Data Control Network Public Management in Bahia and with the support of the Union of Municipalities of Bahia (UPB), Union of Internal Controllers of Bahia (UCIB), Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (SEBRAE/BA), Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) and Government of the State of Bahia. It relies on data voluntarily provided by public entities, which are certified with the seal of transparency during the June festivities in recognition of good public management practice.
