Corinthians were defeated by Argentinos Juniors 1-0, this Tuesday (23), and accentuated the bad phase they have experienced this season. After the match, assistant coach Bruno Lazaroni demanded a reaction from the team in the next matches.
Lazaroni was responsible for the press conference after the duel. The assistant was the one who signed the summary as Corinthians coach, as António Oliveira does not have the license to coach the team in South American games.
“I’ve dealt with this (pressure) since I was a child, it’s normal. We have to take responsibility, talk less and work more. Any planning in a game with a goal a minute away falls apart. It seems like a repeat of the last game, we have to come together and get out of this situation”, said the assistant coach.
Another topic discussed by Lazaroni at the press conference was the option for the boy Wesley on the bench. The boy, despite making a good start to the season, was not selected by António Oliveira in Corinthians’ last two matches.
“Wesley’s departure was to add two finishing players, Yuri and Romero. In addition to Pedro Henrique who did well in the last game. He came in well at halftime, these are options that the coaching staff is trying to find to get us out of this situation.”
