Tite highlighted the unity of the Millonarios (COL) team in the game against Flamengo

Flamengo began its search for the fourth Libertares championship last Tuesday (02), when it faced Millonarios (COL), in the first round of the continental competition. The match, however, ended in a 1-1 draw and Tite analyzed the Colombian team’s ‘advantage’ in the duel.

“Millonarios has had the same team for a long time. When athletes and coaches repeat, the team plays without thinking. The connection with individual technical quality is very important”, said Tite, in a press conference after the game between Flamengo and the Colombian club.

FLAMENGO PROMOTED CHANGES

First of all, it is important to highlight that Tite sent a different team to the field than the one usually used. Therefore, David Luiz replaced Léo Pereira, while Matías Viña replaced Ayrton Lucas. Furthermore, Luiz Araújo remained on the bench and Bruno Henrique took his place. Finally, Igor Jesus made up for the lack of De La Cruz, who had a fever and was removed from the match.

CHANGES DURING THE MATCH

In addition to the difference in the starting lineup, Tite made some changes to the team during the second half. That’s because Allan came on in the second half, replacing Igor Jesus. Furthermore, Varela was replaced by Evertton Araújo, Viña by Ayrton Lucas, and Pedro by Luiz Araújo.

FOCUS ON THE CARIOCA CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

After drawing with Millonarios, the red and black squad received a day off this Wednesday (03) and will return to CT Ninho do Urubu on Thursday (04), to begin preparation for the next game of the season. This is because Flamengo faces Nova Iguaçu at 5pm (Brasília time) on Sunday (07), in the second leg of the final of the Campeonato Carioca, at Maracanã.

As tradition dictates, Coluna do Fla broadcasts the final game between Flamengo and Nova Iguaçu, live, on YouTube. In this way, the most red-black and hot coverage on the internet has narration from the ‘angry’ Rafa Penido. Furthermore, the comments are by Tulio Rodrigues and reports by Leo José and Vitor Beloti. Finally, Band (open channel), Bandsports (closed TV) and GOAT (streaming) also show the confrontation.
