Less than three months before the Paris Games, the month of May could bring new Olympic places to Brazil; check the calendar of the main competitions

Busy month!
The month of May may reserve new vacancies in Brazil for Paris Olympic Games. Settings in swimmingat the triathlondispute in 3×3 basketball and last vacancies boxing are some of the highlights.
Starting this Friday (3), the 3×3 basketball Pre-Olympic begins with the presence of the Brazilian men’s and women’s teams. The tournament is the only chance to guarantee a ticket to Paris. Only champions go to the Olympics.
Afterwards, there will be the World Relays athletics, still on the first weekend of May. Highlights include the Brazilian team in the men’s 4×100, gold at the 2019 World Cup, and the mixed 4×400 team, silver at the 2021 World Cup.
In the second week of the month, we will have the Brazilian swimming tryouts to find out who will be at the Games. For now, there are 16 Olympic indexes in the sport, but swimmers’ confirmation will only come out at the event. Bruno Fratusbronze at the Tokyo Games in the 50m freestyle, is out.
Already the skateboard, which relies on an Olympic ranking to define places, will have an important competition: the Olympic Classification Series (OQS) in Shanghai, China. Names like Rayssa Leal, Pamela Rose It is Kelvin Hoefler are some of the Brazilians confirmed in the tournament.
Triathlon will close its last places in May: in the World Relays (the 17th) and in the world rankings (the 27th). Manoel Messias10th in the male ranking, and Vittoria Lopes27th in the women’s category, are looking to secure tickets to Paris.
Boxing, a sport that usually brings medals to Brazil, will have its second Pre-Olympic Games in Thailand. There, three Brazilians try out for jobs: Wanderson Oliveira (71kg), Viviane Pereira (75kg) and Cleisson Santos (63.5kg), which replaced Yuri Falcaoafter leaving the national team.
