One of the squad’s most obvious needs is in the offensive sector. With the approval of the technical committee, the club has its eye on new center forwards for the season’s sequel, but so far there hasn’t been a certain one coming.

Currently, Peixe’s squad has names like Furch, Morelos, Bigode and Bruno Marques to form the attack. The second must leave, with the board wanting to get rid of salaries player’s highs.

The name of Paolo Guerrero, in this sense, started to gain strength in recent weeksbut in contact with the Bolavip Brasil report, the information was vehemently denied.

Reasons for not hiring

The player would have a low cost and would be included in the club’s current financial system, but the name did not excite the technical committee, who understand that they could get other more efficient names at this time.

At 40 years old, the Peruvian has not been able to perform at a high level for a few seasons and in Santos’ opinion, the center forward is in a career decline. This way, he would not be able to compete for the title.

Troubles in Peru

Paolo Guerrero had decided to break his contract with Cesar Vallejo, who had announced his signing at the beginning of February, due to threats suffered by his mother, Petronila Gonzales, on the day he signed the contract.

Around 20 days later, both parties managed to reach an agreement after a series of talks between president Richard Acuña and striker Paolo Guerrero. Cesar Vallejo has committed to taking all security measures.

The club asked the competent authorities to redouble their efforts to ensure everyone’s safety. On social media, fans celebrated the arrival of their national idol, but some criticized the fact that Guerrero had agreed with the team.

Guerrero has been a starter for the team and the tendency is to be the team’s front man in the Copa Sudamericana debut. The Peruvian team hosts Defensa y Justicia, from Argentina, with the ball rolling at 11pm (Brasília time).
