Fulfilling its promise, Samsung has started rolling out the update with One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy S21, S22 lines and the foldable Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3.
According to preliminary information, the software is already available for download in South Korea, and expansion is expected to occur quickly in other parts of the world.
As expected, in addition to some small visual improvements, One UI 6.1 also brings a series of Artificial Intelligence-based features to 2022 devices.
For the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, and S22, some AI features include:
- Circle to search
- AI generated wallpaper
- Web page summary
- Real-time message translation
- AI-Powered Text Suggestions
- Generative editing to move or remove objects from photos
- Interpret for real-time translation
- Assistant for Samsung Notes
- Voice to Text Message Transcription Assistant
On the other hand, the Galaxy S21 line, the Z Fold 3 and the Z Flip 3 only receive the circle to search from Google, as these devices may not have the expected performance to run the other AI-based features.
For now, there is no forecast for the release of this update here in Brazil, but, if you want to check availability, the path is simple:
Settings > Software update > Download and Install.
It is worth remembering that Samsung must also release One UI 6.1 for intermediate smartphones, but these must be updated later.
