Tinga praises Fortaleza’s stance, but regrets lack of efficiency: “we ruled the game” | strength

Fortaleza was tied against Vasco da Gama in the third phase of the Copa do Brasil and the decision was made for the second leg, in Rio de Janeiro. The experienced Tinga, tricolor idol, spoke about Leão’s performance.

– Football is incredible. We dominated the game, we had more than twenty opportunities, but we were not efficient. The ball punishes. Vasco is a great opponent, even more so in São Januário, but we have to continue our work. We have to have possession, move the ball and be efficient to qualify. We’re going to have a marathon of games ahead, we need everyone – said the player.

Fortaleza finished 15 times against Vasco. There were six shots that required saves from Léo Jardim and one on the crossbar. For the return game, whoever wins advances to the next stage in the Copa do Brasil.

Fortaleza’s next commitment is in Series A of the Brazilian Championship. Leão faces Corinthians on Saturday (4) at 4pm at Neoquímica Arena. The return against Vasco is scheduled for May 21st at 9:30 pm in São Januário.
