Arthur Gomes, Cruzeiro striker, celebrated the birth of his son Beni this Tuesday (2/4). The player is missing for Raposa’s debut in the Copa Sudamericana this Thursday (4/4), against Universidad Católica, at 9pm, at the Atahualpa Olympic Stadium, in Quito.

According to the attacker’s post, the child was born at 5:17 am, at Hospital São Lucas, in São Paulo.

“God is Inexplicable, incomparable. Son, you are very loved, thank you for choosing us. Thank you, God, for your grace and mercy in our lives. Gabi, you are an absurd strength, I am very proud of you! Welcome, BENI, my son”, published Arthur Gomes on social media.

Embezzlement for Cruzeiro’s debut in the South American Championship

Arthur Gomes was not left out of Cruzeiro’s list of candidates for his South American debut because of the birth of his son.

Coach Nicolás Larcamón opted to spare the striker from the trip to Quito due to physical exhaustion. The same with Juan Dinenno, celestial center forward.

The two were on the field in the 2-2 draw with Atlético, this Saturday (30/3), in the first game of the Campeonato Mineiro final.

Cruzeiro’s next games

After facing Universidad Católica this Thursday (4/4), at the Atahualpa Olympic Stadium, in Quito, at 9pm, for their debut in the South American Championship, Cruzeiro changes its focus to the Campeonato Mineiro.

Next Sunday (7/4), Raposa will host Atlético at Mineirão, at 3:30 pm, for the second game of the Campeonato Mineiro final.
