Estoril (Portugal) – Scheduled to take place this Tuesday, the debut of Rio de Janeiro native João Fonseca at the ATP 250 in Estoril, where he will play thanks to an invitation given by the organization, ended up being postponed. Rain hampered the entire round and canceled several matches, including the duel between the young Brazilian and the British qualifier Jan Choinski.

Only five matches are still scheduled to take place, four of which have already started. The most advanced of all is the duel between Cristian Garin and Jurij Rodionov, which started on Monday, in which the Chilean won with a score of 7/6 (7-3) and 4/5.

Three other games started this Tuesday, but were stopped at the beginning. The home quali Jaime Faria didn’t even complete a game against the Spanish lucky-loser David Jorda, the German Dominik Koepfer and the Spanish quali Pablo Llamas draw 2/2 and the Dutchman Botic van de Zandschlup has 3/0 against the Argentinean Federico Coria.

In addition to these clashes, the only one that has not yet started and remains on the schedule is the debut of Frenchman Arthur Fils, seed number 5, who will face home guest João Sousa. The match is scheduled to close the day on the center court.
