Fluminense’s probable lineup for their debut in Libertadores 2024

With the confirmation that striker Germán Cano is out of the Fluminense at Conmebol Libertadores 2024coach Fernando Diniz has just one doubt to choose the team for the duel against Alianza Limafrom Peru.

Everything indicates that striker Lelê will replace top scorer Cano. As for the Keno spot, Diniz will opt for Douglas Costa or Marquinhos. For Ganso’s vacancy, which is also vetoed, Renato Augusto should be chosen. Lima and Terans run on the outside, but the tendency is for them to be options on the bench.

Therefore, Fluminense’s likely lineup for their Libertadores debut is as follows: Fabio; Samuel Xavier, Tiago Santos, Felipe Melo and Marcelo; André, Martinelli and Renato Augusto; Jhon Arias, Douglas Costa (Marquinhos) and Lelê.

Current champions, Fluminense debut in Libertadores 2024 next Wednesday (03), against Alianza Lima, in Peru, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time).

Fluminense is in Group A of Libertadores 2024, alongside Alianza Lima-PER, Cerro Porteño-PAR and Colo-Colo-CHI. The two best classified advance to the round of 16, while the third placed team goes to the South American Championship.
