A comparison with part of the revenue generated by the football department helps to give the dimension of what the deficit number represents in the area frequented by members.

If Corinthians invested the R$117,067,000 raised in sponsorship and advertising by the football department in 2023, there would still be R$2,558,000 left to avoid a deficit result in the social area and amateur sports.

Including all sectors, except Neo Química Arena, Corinthians had, overall, a surplus of R$1,175,000 last year. Adding the accounts relating to the stadium, Alvinegro is in the red at R$49,781,000.

The decisive factor for Corinthians to once again present a deficit in the non-football area was the item recorded as “other revenue”. In 2022, revenue under this heading was R$33,999,000. Last year, this collection fell to R$4,874,000.

The net operating revenue of the social club and amateur sports fell from R$90,438,000 recorded in 2022 to R$62,212,000 recorded last year.

The table that deals with social area finances in the balance sheet does not explain which funds are considered “other income”. It is possible to know that contributions from partners, commercial operations and licensing and franchising are not part of them.
