Palmeiras coach, Abel congratulates Lando Norris on his 1st victory in Formula 1: “May there be more”

Abel Ferreira, coach of Palm trees, congratulated Lando Norris, McLaren driver, who achieved his first victory in Formula 1 by winning the Miami GP last Sunday. Last Sunday, Norris started in fifth place, but overtook the Dutchman Max Verstappen, from Red Bull, who started on pole, and crossed the finish line in first place.

“I’m happy for him. As the late Ayrton Senna said, it will have to happen, one day it will have to happen. And it did today. Was the first. I’m happy because I know how much he has to dedicate himself, give up, what he has to do to reach that level and I’m sure he’s wanted this trophy for a long time. We have a green connection. Palmeiras and Lando Norris have had a connection since 2021, when the driver attended his first Verdão game at Allianz Parque. On that occasion, as mentioned by Abel Ferreira, the team led by Portuguese beat Atlético-GO 4-0, in the Brazilian Championship.

In 2022, the driver also saw the game between Palmeiras and América-MG, when Verdão won 2-1, also for the Brasileirão. Last year, Lando Norris went to the drivers’ parade, before the Interlagos GP, wearing the Palmeiras shirt.
