Patenses do well at the stage of the Brazilian Mountain Bike Championship in Sergipe

Patos de Minas cyclists Marllon Felipe and Flavio Moura did well this Sunday (05) in the Brazilian MTB Marathon Championship, in the interior of Sergipe. They won gold and bronze medals, respectively in their categories.

The Brazilian MTB Marathon Championship is an XCM mountain bike competition where the best names in the country are defined in a single stage for each year.

And this weekend the Brazilian Marathon Championship took place in Campo do Brito, in the interior of Sergipe, 70 km from the capital, Aracaju. Patos de Minas was represented by two athletes, Marllon Felipe and Flavio Moura.

The race was 80 km long and had 1,930 m of accumulated elevation, they faced single track, mind-boggling climbs, with lots of rocks and scorching heat, which made the race more arduous and challenging.

The championship had the participation of several high-performance athletes, which is a source of pride for Patenses and a source of great celebration for the champions. Marllon Felipe was crowned champion in the Master A1 category and athlete Flavio Moura took a bronze medal in the Master B2 category.



The athletes now prepared for the next challenge. They will compete in the Panamericano in the city of Goianá/MG, in the Zona da Mata of Minas Gerais, around 650 km from Patos de Minas, on June 9th.
