The north-central region is expected to concentrate the main rains until the May 1st holiday

Current weather conditions indicate that the center-north of Ceará is expected to concentrate the main rainfall in the state until this Wednesday (1st).

This Tuesday (30), the expectation is that the biggest accumulations will occur in the morning, with the sky becoming relatively clearer in the afternoon, when the interior of Ceará should receive isolated rain, except in Cariri and Jaguaribana, where the weather should remain stable.

For the Labor Day holiday (01/05), the Cearense Foundation of Meteorology and Water Resources (Funceme), the forecast indicates precipitation on the Fortaleza Coast and Pecém Coast in the morning. On the North Coast and Ibiapaba, the trend is to record rain in the afternoon.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ZCIT), the main system that induces rainfall during the rainy season in the state, is located around 2°S, favoring precipitation on the coastal strip. In addition to the ITCZ, a trough is observed in the east of the Northeast region, but with little influence on Ceará.
