Barcelona coach, Xavi praised the behavior of striker Vitor Roque, a Brazilian jewel revealed by Cruzeiro. In an interview this Friday (29), the commander praised the player’s versatility, in addition to mentioning his commitment to training. Despite this, the young man has been little used at the Catalan club.
“He played in different ways in the games we played against the youth teams… On the wing, inside, as a 9. (…) In addition to the usual work, he has the spirit of sacrifice. He always gives us goals and assists. This is Vitor Roque, a player who can make things happen for the team and the group”, said Xavi Hernandez.
Despite the praise, Xavi has used the 19-year-old little. Vitor Roque has entered the field eleven times since arriving at Barcelona in January this year, and has played just 239 minutes on the field. The striker has two goals scored, one expulsion and only one start.
The expectation is that the center forward, who has also been used by the sides with Xavi, will receive more minutes on the field for the remainder of this season. During the FIFA Data period, Vitor Roque was able to train for longer with his teammates and adapt to the team’s style of play.
