Small businesses now have easy credit! Discover the new “Acredita” program!

On November 22, 2023, Palácio do Planalto was the stage for the official launch of ‘Acredita’, an innovative program dedicated to facilitated credit and debt renegotiation for the development of micro and small businesses in Brazil. With the presence of several authorities, the President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, signed the Provisional Measure that establishes the program, marking a strategic movement to encourage entrepreneurship in the country.

What is the ‘Acredita’ program?

‘Acredita’ is divided into four fundamental axes, each with its own specific objectives and goals to foster the Brazilian business environment. One of these axes, called ‘Desenrola Pequenos Negócios’, began operating the day after the launch, promising agility and significant benefits for those in charge of small businesses.

Debt restructuring and access to credit for small businesses

In a statement at the launch event, Márcio França, Minister of Entrepreneurship, Microenterprise and Small Business, highlighted the advantages of the ‘Desenrola Pequenos Negócios’ axis, which offers up to 90% discount for debt settlement. This initiative is already seen as a major step forward for businesses seeking financial recovery and new investment opportunities.

Additionally, the program features ‘Procred 360’which offers special credit conditions for micro-entrepreneurs, including favorable rates and expanded guarantees through the Operations Guarantee Fund (FGO), reflecting a policy of expanded support for small business owners.

According to the finance MinisterFernando Haddad, the program ‘Believe‘ is crucial for the resumption of economic growth. Haddad highlighted that access to credit is essential for the expansion of business activities and, consequently, for the country’s development. The support infrastructure offered by the program aims to facilitate and encourage entrepreneurship, especially at a time of economic recovery.

One of the aspects, the ‘Believes in Sustainable Brazil‘, will encourage green projects, focusing on foreign investments protected against exchange rate fluctuations.
