The situation of Red Bull seems to have calmed down since the Saudi Arabian GP in Formula 1. After a ‘fire’ took over the Milton Keynes team, little has been said about the behind-the-scenes of the squad in recent weeks.

This week, the German newspaper Auto Motor and Sport reported that a meeting between Red Bull bosses took place after the race in Jeddah. Contrary to what it seemed, the meeting was not to put the position of Christian Horner even more at risk, but rather the opposite, it significantly strengthened its position within the brand.

The Thai owners, who own 51% of Red Bull’s parent company, have always supported Horner, and it appears that the Austrian side, represented by Oliver Mintzlaff and Franz Watzlawick, is no longer concerned about the team boss’ situation, but about the possible loss of your own position. In Melbourne, rumors have already emerged that Red Bull Holding could be moved to Dubai.

Majority owner Chalerm Yoovidhya is very supportive of Horner, who is reportedly interested in taking control of the drinks company and motorsport empire. Of course, this could be a longer process, but if it happens, he will manage Red Bull as he sees fit. The only person who could stand in his way is the former employee who complained against him and who is trying to fight what he considers unfair decisions on several fronts.

In his post-Australian GP assessment, the journalist Joe Saward brings the information that peace, in fact, is perpetuating within Red Bull – until the moment Helmut Marko decides to retire. However, he goes against the grain of the German newspaper and says that the British would have given up on creating a division between the racing company and the main company.
