Three days after being released, Daniel Alves presented himself for the first time at the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia, in Barcelona, this Thursday morning (28). The former player was accompanied by his lawyer Ines Guardiola.
The Brazilian was at the scene since January 2023when he was preventively arrested while the case was investigated.

Upon leaving prison, the Brazilian got into the car in which his mother and his lawyer had gone to prison. The player has a residence in an upscale neighborhood of Barcelona. Alves’ defense did not say where he would go.

Conditions for freedom
The sentence that guaranteed provisional release on bail also determined that Daniel Alves:
- AND obliged to maintain a distance of at least 1 kilometer from the victim’s residence, her place of work or any other place she frequents — the young woman is from Barcelona and also lives in the Catalan capital;
- Also cannot attempt to communicate with the complainant through no means;
- Can’t leave Spain;
- Must attend weekly to the Barcelona Court or as often as requested.
“The court decides, by majority and with an individual vote: ‘Agree on the provisional arrest of Daniel Alves, which can be avoided by paying a bond of 1,000,000 euros and, if the payment is verified, his provisional release is agreed , or withdrawal of both passports, Spanish and Brazilian, the prohibition of leaving the national territory, and the obligation to appear before this Provincial Court weekly, as well as as many times as it is summoned by the Judicial Authority”, said the sentence.
The Brazilian bought the residence in the Catalan capital when he played for Barcelona. His wife, Spanish model Joana Sanz, currently lives in the residence, according to the Spanish press.
She is also the target of a lawsuit pending in the Spanish courts for having released alleged images of the victim — since the beginning of the case, the judge responsible prohibited the complainant’s identity from being disclosed by any means.
