Number of injuries rises to 15 in fire that left 10 dead at a guesthouse in Porto Alegre | Rio Grande do Sul

Firefighters claim that the building where the fire occurred did not have a regular PPCI

In the early hours of this Friday (26), an inn on Avenida Farrapos, in Bairro Floresta, went up in flames. Firefighters arrived around 2am to fight the fire, which was only brought under control three hours later. Among the victims, two were found on the first floor. Five, in the second. Both the owner of the inn, Andre Luis Kologeski da Silva, and the Civil Defense stated that the fire was arson. The version is contested by delegate Leandro Bodoia. He claims that a resident of the inn tried to put out the fire with a mattress, but the flames reached a wooden wall and dispersed. The causes must be clarified by the General Institute of Expertise (IGP).
