MPAM employees launch internal donation campaign in support of flood victims in Rio Grande do Sul

Campaign will take place this week, from the 7th to the 10th of May in the 3 units of the Public Ministry

In solidarity with the victims of the floods in Rio Grande do Sul, employees of the Public Ministry of Amazonas (MPAM) are promoting an internal campaign to collect donations of supplies in the agency’s three units in the capital. The campaign aims to collect non-perishable food, personal hygiene products, clothes, blankets and essential items for affected families.

To contribute to the initiative, members, employees, legal residents and interns will deliver their donations to the headquarters of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Amazonas, located on Avenida Coronel Teixeira, in the Nova Esperança neighborhood; at the Paraíba Unit, located on Avenida Jornalista Umberto Calderaro Filho, Adrianópolis; and at the Belo Horizonte Unit, located on Rua Belo Horizonte, in the Adrianópolis neighborhood. Collection points are located in the entrance hall of the respective units.

The campaign has the support and encouragement of the Attorney General of Justice (PGJ), Alberto Rodrigues do Nascimento Júnior, who had previously released a note of support for flood victims on his social networks, and shared the fundraising initiative via PIX to assist victims of the disaster, through MPAM’s official social networks. The chain of solidarity is being carried out by the other state prosecutors’ offices.

The server in the Infrastructure and Telecommunications sector, Waleska de Oliveira,
leads the civil servants’ initiative and will be responsible for organizing donations at MPAM, taking them to the company Azul Cargo Express, which is receiving donations from Amazonians to take to flood victims in RS.

People outside MPAM can also make donations. Just take it to the Public Ministry units and leave it in the boxes left in the hall of each headquarters.
