Qualcomm reveals Snapdragon X Elite and Plus processors; see specifications

A Qualcomm officially revealed its new line of chips Snapdragon X. This way, we can now have access to the main technical specifications of the components. Therefore, you can get an idea of ​​what these processors will deliver for the next generation of Windows computers with artificial intelligence support.

According to the information revealed, the company presented a total of four variants of these products. Three of them are Snapdragon X Elite models, while the rest are called Snapdragon X Plus, which is in line with information published in previous news about these items.

Snapdragon X Elite X1E-84-100

This chip appears to be the most robust version among all models. With a total of 12 cores, it has a total cache of 42MB, as well as a maximum frequency of 3.8 GHz. Additionally, it has a Dual-Core Boost that can reach 4.2 GHz and a GPU with 4.6 TFLOPS.

Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100

As for this variant, the similarities appear in the number of cores and the cache. Therefore, the different details are in the speed part, as the model operates at 3.4 GHz, while the boost is around 4 GHz. Finally, there is also a reduction in the graphics part, with 3.8 TFLOPS available.

Snapdragon X Elite X1E-78-100

Like the previous models, the X1E-78-100 model carries the same number of cores, in addition to having the same cache and works at speeds equal to the X1E-80-100. Apparently, the model will not have a boost in its frequencies, while the GPU performance remains identical to the previous one.

Snapdragon X Plus X1P-64-100

The latest model announced brings more changes compared to the Elite versions. In this sense, it has 10 cores and operates at a clock speed of 3.4 GHz and its total cache is 42MB. On the graphics side, it has 3.8 TFLOPS and, like its brothers, it works with NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD storage and LPDDR5x type RAM.

In the coming weeks, we will be able to get an idea of ​​the level of performance that these chips can deliver through comparisons. For now, there is speculation about how Qualcomm models will behave compared to components from Intel and AMD in this segment.
