Artur Jorge will be the new coach of Botafogo. This Wednesday (3), the Bragathe club where the coach made history, issued a statement confirming the Portuguese’s move to Glorioso.
In a note published on its website, the club confirmed that, in return, it received 2 million euros (R$ 10.9 million).

SC BRAGA – FUTEBOL, SAD, confirms the transfer of head coach ARTUR JORGE TORRES GOMES ARAÚJO AMORIM to SAF BOTAFOGO for a guaranteed consideration of 2 million euros.
The transfer of the coach does not imply charges for intermediation services for SC BRAGA – FUTEBOL, SAD.
The new head coach of the SC BRAGA – FUTEBOL, SAD team and the respective technical team will be announced in due course.
Artur Jorge will bring four assistants with him. The professionals who will accompany the coach on this new career adventure are: Franclim Carvalho (main assistant), André Cunha (deputy assistant), João Cardoso (performance analyst) and Tiago Lopes (physical trainer).
Last Tuesday (2), Artur Jorge was with John Textor, owner of SAF do Botafogo, following the classification of the Lyon at the end of French Cup.
The tendency is for the Portuguese coach to be this Wednesday (3) at the Nilton Santos Stadium watching Botafogo’s debut in the CONMEBOL Libertadores against Junior Barranquilla, at 7pm (Brasília time). The match will be broadcast by ESPN on Star+.
