“The track ‘My Bodom (I am the Only One)’ was one of those things that felt like it took forever to put together. There were so many different riffs that were originally in the song, but I basically felt like the riffs weren’t good enough for that song. So if they’re not good enough for a song, they’re usually rubbish. I ended up taking a break from that song, moving on and working on the next song,” reported Alexi, who ultimately managed to finish the second track from “I Worship Chaos”, an album released in 2015.

“All of a sudden we went back to ‘My Bodom’ and tried something else. Then the song finally got a lot better, and when I finally put the vocal tracks in, it really brought the song to life. Not to brag, but I think I did a job very good, in the sense of making the song much better than it was before the vocals”, added the Children Of Bodom frontman.

Considered one of the most talented musicians of his generation, Alexi Laiho died in December 2020, aged 41.
