After becoming a huge cultural phenomenon and winning at the Oscars, the Clown Prince of Crime Joaquin Phoenix returns in Joker: Folie à Deuxalongside Dr. Harleen Quinzel, Harley Quinn, played by Lady Gaga. Now the film, directed by Todd Phillipshas just had its first poster released, with the protagonists dancing.
“The world is a stage” says the poster, while the subtitle appears in the middle of the lyrics of “Joker”, forming a very different logo for the production. At https://twitter.com/wbpictures/status/1775191473706926262, Warner Bros. also confirmed that the first trailer of the sequence of Joker will be released in 9th April. Check out the poster:
Joker Poster: Folie à Deux
Directed by Todd Phillips, Joker 2 features the return of Joaquin Phoenix as the iconic DC villain, a role that established him with his first Oscar. The film will also feature singer and actress Lady Gaga, who will play a version of Harley Quinn in the plot. Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson and Catherine Keener will also be in the new film.
Little is known about the plot of Joker: Folie à Deuxbut everything indicates that the production should explore the troubled relationship between Joker and Harley Quinn, existing in its own timeline that will have no connection with the DC universe planned by James Gunn.
Joker 2 opens in October 4, 2024.
