Harry Potter actress responds to Miriam Margolyes’ criticism of adult fans of the franchise

Actress didn’t like Margolyes’ comments

In recent weeks Miriam Margolyes, who played Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter films, said that the work is for children and that it was time for adult fans to leave the franchise in the past and look for something new. At an event, Jessie Cavewho played Lavender Brown in three films in the franchise, she was asked about the criticisms of Margolyes and said he didn’t like what she said (via Deadline).

Cave, who after his participation in Harry Potter participated in some British productions and currently stars in the series Buffering, spoke about the criticism of the veteran actress and BAFTA winner at the event Dream it Con, in which he said:

“It’s a shame that that happened. You know how she is, she’s a little playful. And I think she didn’t want things to be interpreted that way, I hope. I really don’t like what she said.”

This is not the first time that Margolyes Harry Potter review reinforcing that older fans should seek out other works to read and discover. Furthermore, a few months ago the actress commented that she became very happy to participate in the franchise, but don’t think Harry Potter was important for her, although I always find it amusing when fans of the franchise recognize her somewhere.

The films of Harry Potter were closed in 2011 and later received Fantastic Beasts, a new franchise in the universe, which took place before the events of the original work. But the seven books will be adapted again, this time in series format and so far there is not much information about the project, which according to David Zaslav, CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery is scheduled for 2026.
