Body of charred dead driver in Alagoas is identified and released for transfer to Arraial do Cabo | Arraial do Cabo – Rio de Janeiro

Cable camp – The body of Anderson Lima Machado, 35 years old, who died charred in a car accident in Teotônio Vilela, in the state of Alagoas, on April 25, was identified and released for transfer to Arraial do Cabo this Tuesday morning- fair (7).

The identification of Anderson, who was a wind energy technician, was only possible through a forensic dental examination carried out at the Legal Medical Institute (IML) in Arapiraca, due to the state of the body after the accident.

Anderson’s vehicle, a white Chevrolet Cruze, caught fire after the accident, making facial recognition and papiloscopy identification impossible. Using a passport found in the car and the vehicle’s license plate, the family was located and the forensic dental examination was carried out.

Expert Claudia Ferreira compared images of the corpse’s teeth with photos of Anderson’s smile in life, as well as a dental and radiological record that the family provided.

“By superimposing the images and analyzing the anatomy of the teeth, it was possible to confirm the identity of the victim”, explained the expert.

The head of the IML of Arapiraca, Silvio Nunes, highlighted the importance of integrating Scientific Police teams to guarantee the official identification of victims in cases like this. He also highlighted the recent appointment of papilloscopists to the unit, which should speed up future identifications.

Anderson’s family has already filed a request with the court to cremate the victim’s remains and transfer the body to Arraial do Cabo.

The accident that killed Anderson occurred at KM 174 on the BR-101 highway, in Teotônio Vilela. According to investigations, Anderson lost control of the car, left the road and collided with the median wall, causing the fire. Despite the efforts of residents and drivers passing by, Anderson could not resist and was burned to death.
