Even presenting a epidemiological scenario with reduction of cases – contrary to the national panorama -, Ceará continues to promote strategies to reinforce the combating arbovirusesviral diseases transmitted mainly by mosquitoes.

This Tuesday (7), around 200 professionals, including doctors, nurses and coordinators of the Epidemiological monitoring of the municipalities of Superintendency of the Fortaleza Region (SRFOR)participated in the Update Cycle in Clinical Management and Laboratory Diagnosis of Arboviruses.

Carried out by School of Public Health of Ceará (ESP/CE)in partnership with State Health Department (Sesa)the event was led by leading experts, enabling participants to improve their skills in the notification, surveillance It is laboratory diagnosis of illnesses such as dengue, zika It is chikungunya.

The director of Permanent and Professional Education in Health at ESP/CE, Suzyane Barcelos, welcomed the professionals at the headquarters of the state authority and, during the opening table, classified the meeting as a moment of exchanging knowledge between the Ambulatory Care and the Primary Health Care (PHC).

“The focus of this initiative is the patient’s therapeutic itinerary in search of Careful, in which you will work on skills and abilities to act based on problematizations and case studies. This will allow you to have a mirror of the situations you experienced, so that you can change your practices”, she concluded.

The executive secretary of Primary Care and Health Policies at Sesa, Maria Vaudelice Mota, also attended the start of the work. “Your presence today is very important in order to update your knowledge and be aware of your roles in combating these diseases. We must be prepared for whatever comes our way and we certainly will be, because we can count on the strength of the work of our professionals, of all of you”, she reinforced.

In addition to Suzyane and Vaudelice, the following were part of the opening ceremony: the special advisor to the Regional Superintendency of Fortaleza (SRFOR), Lino Alexandre; the special advisor for Health Surveillance at Sesa, Osmar do Nascimento; and the superintendent of ESP/CE, Luciano Pamplona.

Schedule

In total, five exhibition panels took place throughout the day, bringing different approaches, which included surveillance and updating the clinical management of arboviruses in the state; risk classification and patient care; the role of the Death Verification Service (SVO) in diagnosis; and clinical cases of similar diseases.

Special advisor to the Regional Superintendence of Fortaleza (SRFOR), Lino Alexandre points out the importance of working in advance on prevention strategies for vaccine-preventable diseases within the scope of Primary Health Care (PHC): “we believe that this is the best way to act , because it is in the territory that these patients will be and it is in the territory where the primary care professionals are located that the cases will arise”.

According to the Permanent Health Education Management (Geduc) of ESP/CE, more cycles are being planned and should take place in the coming months in each of the other four Health Regions of Ceará.
