Sports Secretariat receives 24,867 applications for the Bolsa-Esporte Project

Until last Monday (6), the Ceará State Sports Secretariat (Sesporte) received applications from 24,867 people for Notice No. 01/2024, which grants 6,000 sports scholarships from the Ceará Atleta Program – Project Sports Grant, for athletes and para-athletes, of the most diverse sports practiced in Ceará.

Since the year of its implementation in 2007, the largest sports support program in the State of Ceará has benefited from a total of 41,780 sports scholarships.

“This notice exceeded the registrations of the last notice, now it is time to proceed with the procedure for the beginning of the transfer to the recipients”, stated the Secretary of Sport, Rogério Pinheiro. In the 2022 notice, the Ceará Atleta program received 17,110 requests for the benefit.

The final result is scheduled to be released on May 14th, with benefit payments starting in August.

The scholarship will be awarded in three levels and will have a maximum duration of up to five installments, and may be extended and subject to budget availability, from the date of granting the scholarships at the following levels:

Level I (Sports Initiation) – 5 thousand sports scholarships, worth R$ 200.00, aimed at athletes aged between 10 and 17 years old until December 2024;

Level II (Municipal) – 600 sports scholarships, worth R$ 400.00, intended for athletes and para-athletes who have a classification of up to 10th place in sporting events recognized and/or executed by Sesporte and/or endorsed by the respective federation sports modality, carried out at Municipal/Intermunicipal levels;

Level III (State) – 400 sports scholarships, worth R$ 600.00, intended for athletes and para-athletes who have a classification of up to 10th place in sporting events recognized and/or executed by Sesporte and/or endorsed by the respective federation sporting modality, carried out at State/Interstate and/or Regional levels.
