Sport signs partnership with Arena de Pernambuco

Leão da Ilha has been carrying out some actions to help homeless people after the climate tragedy in Rio Grande do Sul

O Sportin partnership with Pernambuco Arenawill revert the income from the rental of the stadium in the match against Brusquenext Saturday (11), by Series B of the Brazilian Championshipto help those affected by the floods in Rio Grande do Sul. In addition, Leão da Ilha will provide proceeds from tickets sold in the North Inferior sector to those in need.

The Secretary of Tourism and Leisure of Pernambuco, Daniel Coelho, representing the Arena’s management, announced support for the Rubro-negra action. Leão’s president, Yuri Romão, also spoke about the partnership.

“It is extremely important for everyone to come together for the benefit of our brothers from Rio Grande do Sul. Any gesture of solidarity is relevant at this time. The State Government has already announced collection points for donations at the PMPE and Fire Department barracks, the Arena makes its income available now. Every action to minimize the effects of the climate emergency is valid”, stated Daniel Coelho.

“Pernambuco has always had the characteristic of having a supportive people. We thank the Arena and the State Department of Tourism and Leisure, who are helping us and enabling us to donate to our brothers in Rio Grande do Sul”, highlighted Yuri Romão, president of Sport.
