Municipal guard arrests his own son after store robbery in Bahia

The son of a municipal guard was arrested on suspicion of robbing a store in the city of Queimadas, in the north of Bahia, on Monday (6). He confessed to the crime after being presented at the police station by his own father, who is the commander of the institution.

The man arrested was not named. According to the Civil Police, he said that the weapons and stolen money were with the accomplice, who was not found.

According to the owner of the commercial point, Laércio Marques, The suspects stole approximately R$9,000 and even fired shots into the air when they left the place, to avoid approaching people. Nobody was injured.

The suspect was released after being interviewed and will be released for the crime. g1 tries to contact the commander of the Queimadas Municipal Guard, Adalberto José de Souza.

Security cameras recorded the entire criminal action, which lasted less than a minute. The images show that the suspect and an accomplice entered the establishment around 2 pm. Armed, they announced the robbery.

At the time of the incident, three women worked in the store, which operates as a bazaar and stationery store. On orders from the pair, the employees handed over plastic bags with the money that was in the cash register.

In a statement, the Military Police reported that they were called and carried out patrols in the region, but did not find the suspects. This Tuesday (7), agents continue to search for the other suspect.
