The bodies of a 32-year-old woman and her 7-year-old son were found in an advanced state of decomposition by the Military Police (PM) on Monday night (6/5), in São Francisco, in the North of Minas Gerais. The initial suspicion is that she killed the child and then committed suicide.
The military were called by neighbors, who suspected that something might have happened in the house, as they had not seen the woman for four days and smelled a bad smell coming from the property, in addition to vultures flying over the area.

Upon arriving at the residence, the police knocked on the gate, but no one answered. They then decided to force the garage door open.
Inside the property, two bodies were found in an advanced state of decomposition, hanging from ropes tied to the roof structure.
An expert who was at the scene found signs that intravenous medication had been administered to the child; medicines and syringes were collected near the bodies.
According to neighbors, the mother supposedly had depression. Only she and the child lived in the house.
