Video shows student being beaten by three others inside a school in Itacajá

A student was attacked by three young people at a state school in Itacajá, northern Tocantins. The confusion would have started after the victim was bullied by other students. In the video, published on social media, it is possible to see that the victim is punched several times in the back and head. The case will be investigated by the Civil Police.

In the video, the victim is sitting in a chair and three teenagers are around him. They appear to argue until one of the attackers pushes the student, starting the attacks. Some time later, a woman arrives to break up the fight.

The young people were interviewed at the 51st Police Station of Itacajá and confessed to the attacks. According to the police, the attacks took place in the context of bullying. The victim underwent a forensic examination, where the injuries were found.

The school will continue to monitor the case in accordance with legal requirements.

Seduc reinforces its rejection of violence and reinforces initiatives that guarantee healthy coexistence in the school community, highlighting the “School of Emotions” program, focused on the socio-emotional development of students and the strengthening of multidisciplinary teams.

The school management is attentive to the well-being of the assaulted student, seeking to welcome and treat any traumas faced.
