Acre appears with a sign of stability and oscillation in cases of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), considering epidemiological week 17, between April 21 and 27 of this year. The data are from the InfoGripe Bulletin, released last Thursday, 2, by the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz).

According to the study, there is a sign of stability in new weekly cases of SARS in the state of Acre, both in the long-term trend, that is, in the last six weeks, and in the short term, in the last three weeks.

The bulletin also points out that the state went against the grain of other states in the country. This is because 22 federation units showed signs of SARS growth in the long-term trend.

According to the study, the current scenario of increased respiratory syndrome in the country is mainly due to the RSV, Influenza A and rhinovirus viruses, especially in young children.

Rio Branco is also among the few capitals with a sign of stability in SARS cases both in the short and long term. According to the data, 19 of the 27 capitals showed signs of growth in cases.
