A 44-year-old day laborer died after being choked by her partner in the house where the couple lived, in the Alto Santa Terezinha neighborhood, in the North Zone of Recife. As she discovered the TV Globothe 33-year-old suspect was arrested and confessed to the crime.
The case happened on Monday night (6), in the community of Alto do Pascoal. The names of the victim and suspect have not been released.
Neighbors of the couple said that they had lived in the area for approximately a month and were constantly fighting. According to information obtained by TV Globothe two began to argue after the woman went to the police station.
During the argument, the man choked his partner and used a cloth to asphyxiate her. The victim died at the scene. Her body was taken to the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML), in the Santo Amaro neighborhood, in the center of Recife.
The suspect was arrested and taken to the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP), in the Cordeiro neighborhood, in the West Zone of the capital of Pernambuco.
