Video shows police officers attacking player in the interior of Acre

A video showing a police officer hitting a player during a futsal match was released on social media last Sunday (5). The incident took place at the Tarauacá Multisport Gymnasium, in the interior of Acre. (Look above)

In the records, two police officers go after a young man, who tries to run backwards and get away from them. It is also possible to see one of the agents striking the boy with a baton, who dodges. However, later, the athlete is held by the guard.

According to the Acre Military Police (PM-AC), in the situation, one of the players threw a punch at the referee and from there, widespread confusion began. According to the incident, a security guard at the event tried to break up the confusion and arrest the attacker.

The police also claim that a player tried to grab the police baton, causing him to try to defend himself, “using moderate means”. Two men and the referee were taken to the municipality’s Police Station.

The State Department of Education, Culture and Sports (SEE-AC) said that the event was not held by the department and that it had no knowledge of what happened. O g1 tried to contact Tarauacá City Hall and is awaiting a response.
