State deputies and councilors from Campo Grande will only return to work next Monday (6). The sessions were suspended this Thursday (2), after the Labor Day holiday.
Alems (Legislative Assembly of Mato Grosso do Sul) was closed for the installation of antivirus in the IT system. The capital’s City Hall is partially operational due to pest control and minor repairs to the building. Only sectors considered essential are working.
“I ordered pest control because we even found scorpions. And they will also fix the broken bathrooms. It will be these two days, but I’m in Campo Grande walking around the neighborhoods”, explained the president of the Chamber, Carlão Borges (PSB).
At Alems, the statement sent to parliamentarians and civil servants informs that between the 1st and 4th of May the Datacenter will “go through a process of migration and approval of servers and services hosted there, thus leaving some internal services temporarily unavailable or unstable. For this reason it is necessary to close the House.”
The information was confirmed to Primeira Página by the president of the Assembly, Gerson Claro (PP). In the municipal Legislature, sessions take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, in the state legislature on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The optional point, which ended up amending the closure of the Houses of Law with the Labor Day holiday, was made official in the respective official gazettes.
