Individuals from other countries can deliver donations to customs and inspections at the land border. Public agents will forward the goods to Brazil.

In relation to donations arriving by air and water, the goods may be dispatched using a Simplified Import Declaration on paper (DSI form), Simplified Import Declaration and Import Declaration destined for the state of Rio Grande do Sul or some other their municipalities involved in the destination of donated goods.

The donated goods will undergo inspections and controls by the Federal Revenue Service and other bodies that operate in foreign trade, such as the National Health Surveillance Agency and the Ministry of Agriculture. The goods, however, will be released quickly.

If you have any doubts, the IRS advises people to contact the unit where donated goods from abroad will enter the country for guidance.
