More than 50 thousand people will have access to new Digital TV channels in Acre

The Ministry of Communications authorized this Wednesday (24) new channels to run the Television Retransmission service in four cities in Acre, bringing a greater variety of quality Digital TV to more than 50 thousand people. The ordinances with authorizations were published in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU).

“We are committed to providing the Brazilian population with access to Digital TV, providing citizens with higher quality programming without the risk of interference on the channels”, said the Minister of Communications, Juscelino Filho.

With the grants published in the DOU, broadcasters must observe the deadlines for obtaining authorization to use radio frequency from the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) and request the station’s licensing before starting the operation.

USE AUTHORIZATION – As provided for in GM/MCOM Consolidation Ordinance No. 01/2023, which defines the public selection and authorization procedures for the execution of the RTV service, authorized entities must observe, before starting execution, the deadlines to obtain authorization to use radio frequency from the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) and request licensing for the station.
