Until next Monday (29), owners of motor vehicles with license plate numbers 75 to 95 can receive discounts on the advance payment of Motor Vehicle Property Tax (IPVA) in Pará.
The discounts are valid for those who do not have traffic fines and are:
- 15% of the tax amount for those who have been without a fine for two years;
- 10% for those who did not receive fines last year
- and 5% discount in other situations.
Furthermore, there are three IPVA payment options in Pará:
- advance payment in a single installment, with a discount;
- installments in up to three installments before maturity, without discount
- or full payment on the date of annual licensing at the Department of Traffic (Detran).
According to the Pará Finance Department (Sefa), after the licensing date, payment will be made with increase in fines and interest.

According to Sefa, payment of the DAE is made through the authorized banking network (Banpará, Basa, Bradesco, Banco do Brasil, Santander, Itaú and CEF) and lottery outlets.
The guidelines point out that the IPVA rate is 2.5% for cars, trucks and recreational or sports waterways vehicles not intended for commercial activity; 1% for buses, minibuses, trucks, mechanical horses, motorcycles and similar. Vehicles over 15 years old are exempt. Vessels and aircraft must collect IPVA by June 30th.
