Oppo launches 3 smartphones in Brazil with annual lifetime exchange promotion

-

During an event held in São Paulo, Oppo officially announced the launch of its new mid-range smartphones in the Brazilian market: the Oppo A58 and A79, in addition to the Reno 11F 5G. The first two arrive on the national market starting today, while the third has its debut on Brazilian soil scheduled for the end of May, and all are included in a promotion that will reward two people with annual lifetime exchanges for devices from the manufacturer.

The devices are part of the brand’s entry strategy into the Brazilian market with the aim of becoming the second best-selling in the national cell phone market – the company has been operating in Brazil since 2022, when it launched the Reno 7 here.

The production and distribution of Oppo products in Brazil will be carried out by Grupo Multi (formerly Multilaser). In this partnership, the Chinese company will be responsible for marketing, trade marketing and product positioning in the market.

Oppo A58

The most basic among the new features is the Oppo A58, which comes with a 6.72-inch LCD screen with Full HD resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate, in addition to stereo speakers. The processor is a MediaTek Helio G85, accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. In all recent models of the brand, it is possible to use part of the internal space as additional RAM to improve performance.

The main rear camera is 50 MP, f/1.8 and is accompanied by a 2 MP monochrome sensor to improve general captures. For selfies, the front sensor is 8 MP with f/2.0. The battery is 5,000 mAh and comes with a 33W SuperVOOC fast charger. The device runs Android 13 from the factory with the brand’s ColoOS 13.1 interface, in addition to being compatible with 4G networks and having a 3.5 mm P3 physical input for headphones.

Oppo A79 5G

Just above the previous one is the Oppo A79, which repeats the size of the LCD panel, but increases the refresh rate to 90 Hz. The processor here is the MediaTek Dimensity 6020, accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal space.

Operating system, cameras, battery, charger and connectors are also the same as its more basic brother, but another differentiator of this model is its compatibility with 5G mobile networks. The two devices also have IPX4 certification, which promises resistance to splashes of water, but not against dust or submersion.

Oppo Reno11 F 5G

The Reno11 F 5G features image retouching with generative artificial intelligence and super-fast recharging as its main highlights. Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor, accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Of this internal space, up to 8 GB can be used as extra RAM to boost the device’s performance, keeping applications running in the background and improving performance.

On the screen, it offers a 6.7-inch OLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, Full HD+ resolution and peak brightness of 1,100 nits. The operating system is Android 14 modified by Oppo’s ColorOS 14.0 interface and the rear cameras include a 64 MP main sensor with f/1.7, as well as a 117° ultrawide with 8 MP and f/2.2 and a 2 MP macro with f/2.4. The front has 32 MP and F/2.4.

On the software side, photographic capabilities are enhanced by artificial intelligence features like AI Eraser, which allows you to erase unwanted objects and people from photos with ease, filling the “holes” in AI-generated images. It’s something similar to what Google and Samsung promise in their latest members of the Pixel and Galaxy S lines.

On the battery side, the Reno11 F also comes with reserves of 5,000 mAh and is accompanied by a 67W SuperVOOC charger, which promises to recharge the smartphone from zero to 100% in 48 minutes. Unlike other devices now launched by the brand in Brazil, this model does not have a dedicated headphone jack, but is IP65 certified, promising resistance to dust and water jets – but not submersion yet.

Price, availability and annual exchange promotion

Both the Oppo A58 and A79 5G are now available for purchase in Brazil, the first in black or green with a suggested price of R$1,599 and the second in black or purple options and costing R$2,499. The Reno11 F 5G, in turn, is scheduled for launch at the end of May, but its official value has not been revealed for now – imported versions can be found on marketplaces for around R$2,899, but without official support and warranty of the company in the country.

According to Oppo, anyone who purchases one of the brand’s new smartphones by May 31, 2024 on Magazine Luiza’s digital platforms will compete in a promotion that will reward two people with lifetime annual exchanges of the manufacturer’s smartphones. Additional details should be released on the official Oppo Brasil profile on Instagram (@oppobrasil).
