On Thursday afternoon (25), the Military Police seized a stolen firearm, ammunition and drugs from a residence in Chapecó, in the west of Santa Catarina. According to the PM, the materials were found in the room of a 19-year-old young man, who fled the scene before being approached.
The incident was recorded around 4pm in the Líder neighborhood. A garrison was patrolling the region when they saw a man who, upon realizing the presence of the team, tried to hide his face and quickly fled to the back of a residence, avoiding being located.
The military managed to contact the owner of the residence, who reported that only his son, a 19-year-old young man, was in front of the house, authorizing the team to search the place.

Inside the house, in the young man’s room, the police found 30 grams of marijuana, R$2,866 in cash, two smartphones, two precision scales, a 357 caliber revolver with a stolen record, 35 357 caliber ammunition, two 9 mm caliber ammunition and two firearm boxes, corresponding to a revolver and a pistol, as well as a holster.
The young man’s father, aged 41, tried to contact his son several times, without success. Given the situation, all the seized material, as well as the property owner, were sent to the Police Duty Center (CPP) for clarification.
