The musician Louis Tomlinson, ex-One Direction, opens his tour in Brazil, on Wednesday night (8), with a show in Rio de Janeiro and fans faced a huge challenge to see the 32-year-old star. Since the early hours of the morning, dozens have been camping in front of the Farmasi Arena, in the west of the Marvelous City, in intense heat of 34ºC.
The report of Who saw fans occupy more than 500 meters on the Arena sidewalk, protecting themselves from the strong sun with umbrellas or sarongs. The show is scheduled for 9pm and the venue is expected to open at 6:30pm. In other words, the hottest moments of the day will have already passed.
The production of the event was questioned by Who about public hydration in the external area and highlighted that they have been distributing water in the queue. We also asked about the possibility of opening the house early, as the space is air-conditioned, but the team responsible has not responded on this point so far. The space, however, remains open.
The organization highlighted that water will be allowed with fans. “There are hydration points in the Arena, including several drinkers. It will be allowed to enter the show with a flexible bottle and a glass of water, both without lids”, they declared.
The singer is in Brazil for three shows on the tour Faith in the Future World Tour. After passing through Rio de Janeiro, Louis heads to São Paulo next Saturday (11), at Allianz Parque, and to Curitiba, on Sunday (12), at the Ligga Arena. The shows are promoted by MOVE Concerts.
The international tour takes its name from the artist’s latest album, which was released at the end of 2022, and has already toured Europe and the United States, and has enchanted crowds with impressive performances and visuals.
Louis Tomlinson’s last visit to Brazil was in 2022, with the album show WALLS, and it was a success with sold out tickets and an extra date to meet demand. The German band Giant Rooks is the special guest to open the shows on the new tour in Brazil.
