Another anaconda was found in the interior of Acre. The 4.5 meter giant snake was rescued by the Fire Department in Cruzeiro do Sul in the Miritizal neighborhood last Tuesday (7).

Firefighters captured the animal and released it in a suitable location and in an area away from houses.

One more anaconda
A video showing a snake measuring approximately 6 meters went viral on social media this Monday (6). The animal was recorded while crossing the road that connects the municipalities of Rodrigues Alves and Mâncio Lima, in the interior of Acre.

In the video, two men appear holding and dragging the snake as the animal tries to head towards the forested area close to the road. You can hear one of them saying to call the Firefighter. There, it is common to find large snakes and other animals.

The Fire Department advises remaining calm when encountering snakes or other wild animals, keeping children and pets away, and calling 911.
To prevent this, keep yards clean, free of debris that could serve as a shelter for snakes, close trash cans and other containers that attract animals, and build fences to prevent wild animals from entering residential areas.
