Two men were arrested in Greater Florianópolis on suspicion of a double attempted murder that occurred in February in Presidente Prudente, in São Paulo. At the time, a man was shot while in the car with his 4-year-old son.

The arrests took place on Thursday (25) and the suspects had temporary arrest warrants. One of them was found in Barra da Lagoa, in Florianópolis, during investigations.

After this arrest, the police discovered where the other man was. He was found and arrested in the Bela Vista neighborhood in Palhoça.

The arrests were made by the Santa Catarina Civil Police, with support from the Presidente Prudente Homicide Police Station.

The double attempted murder occurred on the night of February 21st. The target was a 39-year-old man. The shots took place at Residencial Bela Vista I, in Presidente Prudente (SP). He was hit by a gunshot.

According to the police report, after being shot, the victim drove and went to a market for help. The man was rescued by the Fire Department and taken to the hospital.

After the crime, the suspects fled to Santa Catarina, where they have remained hidden since February 2024.
