Rio Grande do Sul actress Carol Bresolin visited, this Tuesday (7), the city of Muçum, in Rio Grande do Sul, where she was born and raised, and was moved to see the situation the municipality finds itself in after the rains.

“The house my parents lived in when I was born simply doesn’t exist anymore […] Look at the size of the uprooted trees, imagine the strength of that water. We need help!”, he published, via Instagram stories.

The Taquari river, in Muçum, is at a height of 6.13m this Wednesday (8), but a week ago it rose more than 30m, a level never seen before. In the images taken by Carol, it is possible to see the places completely destroyed, with streets full of rubble and mud. No deaths were recorded in the city.

More of 1.4 million people were affected by the rain in Rio Grande do Sul, according to the bulletin released by Civil Defense this Wednesday (8). The number of deaths remains the same: 95. There are still 128 missing.
