Acre deputy’s advisor is arrested for drug trafficking in investigation in Pernambuco

Parliamentary advisor and TV presenter, Tião Silva, was arrested this Thursday morning (25) on suspicion of drug trafficking. The investigation is carried out by the Civil Police of Pernambuco and the arrest warrant was carried out by the Drug Trafficking Police Station (Denarc) and the Special Resources Coordination (Core), in Rio Branco.

Tião has been an advisor to state deputy Afonso Fernandes (Progressive) since the end of last year. Furthermore, Tião is a journalist and was the presenter of a news program on TV Rio Branco.

O g1 contacted the deputy and is awaiting a response.

Tião was at home, in the Second District region of the capital of Acre, when he was surprised by the police. Delegate Saulo Macedo confirmed to the g1 that the Acre Civil Police only complied with the court order in support.

In total, according to the delegate, the Pernambuco police are investigating a group of people involved in drug trafficking. In the capital of Acre, only the journalist was arrested.

The police chief confirmed that Tião did not resist arrest and there was also no incident at the advisor’s house. “Everything was normal. It was just to comply with the court’s decision”, he summarized.

The journalist must undergo a custody hearing this Friday (26).
