These numbers represent an increase of 2,223 cars compared to April 2023. Alagoas stands out as the fourth state in the Northeast with the highest growth, behind Paraíba, Rio Grande do Norte and Sergipe. Only Ceará presented a negative result, with a retraction of 13.94%.
Comparing with the previous month, which recorded the sale of 5,235 vehicles, there was a growth of 22.37% in April. Year to date, sales total 21,567 units, representing an increase of 33.03%.
When analyzing only the sale of cars and light commercial vehicles, Alagoas recorded a growth of 42.38% in April, totaling 1,888 units sold. In the national context, new vehicle registrations increased by 17.63% compared to March and 37.44% compared to the same period last year.
Fenabrave attributes part of this growth to the greater number of working days in April, in addition to highlighting an increase in daily sales of cars and light commercial vehicles, which rose 7.5% compared to March. The entity’s president, José Maurício Andreta Jr., highlights a more favorable credit environment and more contained interest rates as factors that boosted this growth.
